About a month ago, when we still had the blue Camry, (sniff, sniff) I found gum in the carpet of the car. Irritated I told Claire she was on gum probation until after Christmas. Scissor probation also, but that's another blog for another day.
Yesterday Claire remembered that she was free to enjoy chewy, delicious gum again and asked for some while she watched Aristocats. Ian decided to nap so I was in a good mood and let her have some. I also decided to nap on the couch with Claire at my side. Some time into the movie she says she swallowed her gum. I was too tired to give her the "we don't swallow our gum" talk so I let it go.
Fast Forward to the dinner table. Mom, what is this snarl in my hair? Upon closer inspection it's her gum. Yada Yada Yada, Peanut butter will take it right out. Unless you miss a big chunk of gum with the PB treatment and then you will be SO irritated with your yelling, screaming, crying child you may just want to cut it out. It was at the end of her hair so I only cut out less than 2 inches. She is back on gum probation until Ian's birthday.

At least she didn't try to cut it out herself.
Hey where is the pix of Ian and his new trike?
juliann-do you remember when you had a little pony tail on top and you cut the band off and of course the pony tail?
Nice to know about peanut butter - not Goo Gone...Sorry :) At least it was renewable hair and not the couch or YOUR hair!!
I have many a memory of my dad getting gum out of my hair. Thankfully, my girls don't know that kids can chew gum. "Mommys only"...
Oh the woes of gum.
Wow Jules! You are courageous! No kids in our house are allowed to chew gum! Nina tried to spit out her gum and it ended up in her hair... Tony cut it out with his pocket knife cause we were on the way home from a wedding.... Nina then had to get her hair "fixed" at the beauty school... LOL
Hmmmmm...I remember when you cut your own hair..it might be the same event that your mom is talking about....hee hee..gum in the hair? Compaired to sissors...no biggy:-) Love and kisses to everyone for the New Year....Love always, Aunt Norie oxoxoxo
