Happy Birthday Ian!

If this isn't the face of a guilty birthday boy, I don't know what is.

Thursday the 15th was his birthday, this post is a little late. We had a great day making this day a good one for him. We went to Romp and Stomp (our little kid music, play, story class) followed by a trip to the store where he picked some balloons, made a special lunch for him, then took Claire to a playdate. He and I decided that even though it was 5 degrees outside we should wash the car. I figured he would think it's cool. He would have, but he fell asleep and didn't wake up until the toy aisle at Walmart. We searched for a cool new birthday toy, but found nothing I was willing to pick up 100 times a day so we went home, made cake, picked up Claire, made dinner, ate dinner, ate cake, played with presents and went to bed.

This kid amazes me. He is so sweet and handsome. He's got the sweetest smile that melts your heart. Having him be a part of our family has blessed us in so many ways. I feel like Claire was just a subtle "warm up" for Ian. We love having him be a part of our family.
